Our story
Meet Melanie (Habiba)
Founder of Sakeenah & Co.
Assalamu Alaikum, and welcome. My name is Melanie—also known as Habiba. I am a revert Muslim and a proud Latina. Alhamdulillāh, I embraced Islam ten years ago on the blessed Day of Arafah.
My journey to Islam began in my early 20s, when I discovered the beauty of the deen and the profound message of the Qur’an. Like many reverts, my path came with challenges—especially with family. But over time, Allah made a way. Today, my family not only accepts me for who I am, but my parents now ask thoughtful questions about Islam. May Allah guide them to the straight path, allahūma ameen.

Since I was young, I’ve always had a love for planning and organizing. Whether it was preparing for school, traveling, or simply managing daily to-do lists—I found joy and peace in structure and simplicity. I’ve always had a soft spot for high-quality notebooks, minimalistic stationery, and thoughtfully curated designs. These essentials have been part of my daily routine, both in my work life and now, even more so as a mother of two.
I created Sakeenah & Co. out of love for both faith and function. Our aim is to offer thoughtfully curated, purpose-driven Islamic stationery to help you connect with yourself, with Allah, and to live with sakeenah—serenity.
Each product is crafted with intention—to inspire reflection, support your productivity, and bring clarity into your everyday life.
May these tools serve you on your journey and help you thrive with sakeenah, in shaa Allah.
